Item #1: Valentine Card from Leah!
Even before I got to the card, this envelope got my attention, not just because it's a pretty yellow - like the walls in my aunt and uncle's "Jane Austen" room where I'll be sleeping when I go to visit them over Reading Week - but the address sticker was adorable! Isn't the dog cute?
And there on the back of the envelope is the word "Carnival" - as to why it says that, I'm not completely sure.
Obviously the Valentine itself is the one on the right, but the first card I pulled out of the envelope is the left one. Clearly this iggle is quite the artist! Not only that, but she's a blogger like me! For those that are too lazy to type the URL listed there on the card (and I'll admit, I sometimes have those days), you can check out her blog here. Her art is actually quite amazing, and the few blog posts I read entertained me quite a bit :) You should definitely check it out for yourself!
Item #2: Valentine from Leanne!
Another cute envelope! I feel that the bar has been set for envelope decoration with regards to Valentines. I'll have to make sure to be on my A-game when I send out my Valentines in the next little bit.
That's not even the best part! Take a look at the actual Valentine! :)
And it really does smell like lemon! I thought at first that was going to be gross, because I typically don't care for lemon (or at least what I assume is the taste of lemon from artificially-flavored candy), but the scent coming off this card is rather nice, more like a lemon meringue than an overpowering lemon smell.
The two hearts on front of the card are actually confetti pieces that I found inside the envelope, and they're so pretty and sparkly! XD I feel like a magpie right now . . .
Either way, with the envelope and the card and the general scent, this card was positively delightful to receive!
I'm excited to send both these lovely iggles a card in the near future. I'll keep you posted as to when I get those sent out.
