I will openly admit, this was not a good week for pictures. With what happened on Wednesday, the very first day of this week of photos, I found myself distracted and unable to really focus on coming up with fun and creative ideas. I began to snap out of it near the end of the week, but the first week leaves much to be desired.
Day 29: Frozen
Full disclosure? I took this photo about a week before this day, when I stepped out of the house to begin walking to work. Something about the atmosphere that night as the snow gently fell compelled me to take a picture. And, because I didn't have enough motivation to take any good photos on day 29, I used this.
Day 30: A Sign
This is a picture of fridge magnets that I received with a birthday gift of getting both Stargirl and Love, Stargirl in a hardcover box set for my 17th birthday. Most of the magnets are quotes from the second book, which I thing is one of my favorite books of all time, and a lot of them display good messages for people, especially young women, to live by.
Day 31: Descend
Yes. Yes I did. For a photo with the prompt "Descend", I took a picture of stairs. I literally had no other ideas for this photo. And I didn't even take it on the correct day; it was late. This is so far my biggest failure.
Day 32: On A Board
Okay, there's no real board in the picture, it's a sign, but I felt oddly compelled to take this picture, and the caption I used will explain why. "Norman Road, right by my school. Is it bad if the first thing I think of when I see this is Norman Reedus?"
Day 33: Dry
What was the driest thing I could think of at this time of year? That would be my lips, of course! XD
Day 34: Written in Crayon
Fortunately, by day 34, I was caught up with my photos, but even so, I was stuck for what I was going to take a picture of. This happened to be my busy Monday, and I didn't have time to go home and write something in crayon (after finding and digging out an old box of crayons) in order to take a photo of it. But I lucked out! I went into Target before my shift to see if I could find any cool washy tape. I didn't have any luck, but I happened to come across this really big, multi-coloured crayon! Kind of wish I bought it, actually...
Day 35: An Unlikely Pair
My caption with this photo should say it all: "The hat that I borrowed from my boyfriend doesn't look like much on its own, but paired with the likes of me I think it's rather adorable!" What say you? Do you agree?
One thing I notice while looking back at my photos from this week is that I took not one but two pictures of myself to use for the prompts. Normally I'm not the most photogenic person, and I've never been the "selfie" type either, and I certainly prefer being the person behind the camera rather than being in front of it. Of course being a vlogger forces me to step out into the limelight more than I typically would, and maybe that is starting to rub off on me in other respects. Who knows?
