365 Photo-A-Day Challenge: Week 9

I have to say that this week's selection of photos are pretty varied, and for that I'm grateful. No photo is too much like another one that exists in the same week. This week also marks 2 solid months of keeping up with the Igglebugs Photo-A-Day challenge, which is pretty great :)

Day 57: Abundant

If there's one thing I have in abundance, it's dresses XD Perhaps it's a bit of a fetish of mine, but I adore buying dresses and finding any excuse to dress up, whether it's for a typical date night or just for having some friends over to play board games, more often than not I like to doll myself up a little - or a lot, depending on my mood. I've never seen being overdressed to be a bad thing. At least, I've yet to be in a situation where I've had to suffer from that kind of embarrassment. When I'm overdressed I'm typically just in the company of my friends or family.

Day 58: Junk Food

This happens to be the supplies that my boyfriend and I dipped into when he came to visit me one Wednesday. We hung out in my bed watching Donald Glover's Weirdo, and afterwards I believe we re-watched The Wolf of Wall Street again on his laptop. He stuck to the dill pickle chips, while I dipped into everything, like the pig I am XP

Day 59: Intent

The caption for this photo read "It is my Intent to win this game." This is from Friday where me and my friends were playing the card game Munchkin. I also wrote a review about it later for Paper Droids, which shall hopefully be up soon. It's a rather interesting game to play with a group of friends you've known for quite some time, let's just leave it at that.

Day 60: Brown

This picture was merely to show that the majority of the furniture in m bedroom is chocolate brown. I took a picture of one of the knobs of my dresser, but it didn't look nearly as nice as this. What this picture contains is a shot of the headboard of my bed, along with one of the decorative stone masks that I have hanging from either headboard post. The other one I have is made of the same materials and is black with painted gold details, but it looks completely different.

Day 61: Electronic

The subject in this picture is an example of a hybrid between electronics and fashion. I picked up this bag when I happened by Winners one day. I can't even remember what I was looking for, but this bag was hanging near the entrance. I walked over, laughed when I read the writing, then checked out the wiring on the inside of the bag and thought to myself, "I'm not positive when I may use it - it might be fun to bring to the beach but it could get ruined. Nevertheless, I need this." Since then I typically use this bag when I simply need a pair of speakers. So long as you're careful not to blast the volume too loud, the sound from this bag is of a very high quality. It certainly plays at a loud enough volume to provide music to a beach party before the speakers start crackling from the volume of my iPod being turned up too loudly.

Day 62: Back Lit

When looking at this prompt, the first thing I thought of was the back light on my phone. However, since I use my phone to take the majority of my photos, I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do for this photo. An idea came to me late on Sunday, once the Oscars were done and I had switched back to playing The Sims 3 on my computer. In my caption of this photo I joked about this being a picture of me watching Bette Midler sing "Wind Beneath My Wings" at the Oscars (which was breathtaking, as always - you go Bette!), when actually it was just my face lit up with the light from my computer screen.

Day 63: A Glimpse

On the day I (contonuously) attempted to take this photo, it was not particularly cold out. Therefore, each time I tried to snap a shot of my new thermal nail polish (Lips Like Sugar by Black Sheep Lacquer), the coral pink colour would disappear far too quickly. Even the slight curve of colour on the tips of my nails would be gone! I lucked out on my walk from my seminar to the bus back to Welland. This picture was taken in a hurry while I sat on the bus. It took quite a few tries, since most of my attempts came out very blurry, but I'm glad this one worked out. And I chose this filter because it A, didn't shift the colour of the nail polish by much, if at all, and B, it brought out the colours in the background, which I really liked.

And that's it for now! I've recently picked up a few items from a site called Photojojo using a $5 off coupon provided by fellow vlogiggle @JoannaVolavka. They should certainly make my photo taking experiences with my phone quite interesting. I'll let you all know when I receive those items in the mail and get to start using them!
