Items In My Mailbox: 1 Item!
Item #1: Postcrossing Postcard from France!

I'm pretty sure that this is the first card that I've ever received from France, if I'm remembering correctly.

First off, the image on the front of the card is gorgeous! The picture was taken from the inside of  Chantilly Castle. The sender doesn't live too far away from Paris, which is awesome enough, but they also included a very pretty stamp with their card, along with some very pleasant happy face stickers. They were blue and green and happened to look very cheerful, so I appreciated that immensely, especially since I wasn't in the best mood when I woke up today.

Let me say first hand, it is not a good idea to be in a foul mood on April 1st, aka April Fools Day. My first insight to today's tomfoolery happened to come from the IGGPPC website - and let me be completely honest, I fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Another reason that I'm not typically a fan of April Fools is because I am a completely gullible person. For whatever reason, this morning I seemed to be of the state of mind where I believed that if so much elaborate planning and effort had gone into a movement such as this environmentally-friendly one, that it must be completely true.

I will say that while I was still under the impression that everything was actually happening (meaning that all the new note card sets that I recently purchased were now going to go to waste), I did happen to read one comment posted under the article that made me chuckle, written by fellow iggle Michelle.

Thinking it was completely true as well, I sent links to the article to both of my pen pals, seeing if they wanted to go along with this plan fully or partly or just to see what they thought of it. I also posted a few comments below the article itself, which now depresses me a bit, since re-realizing that you're gullible is never fun XP Even so, I'm sure that if I didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning that I would've laughed my butt off when I finally figured out that this was all a rouse. Kind of makes me wonder how Sheldon Cooper would react with regards to April Fools Day . . . I figure it would play out into a similar scenario to the season 5 Halloween episode.

So in summation, I have this to say: Well played, IGGPPC. . . Well played. . .  ;)

That's all for today! I'll keep you all posted!
