Going Out In My Mailbag Today: 1 Item!

Item #1: Postcard to My Pen Pal Diana!

It's about time I sent Diana an awesome postcard in return for the amazing one that she sent me! And I'm pretty positive that, like me, Diana is a big fan of the Princess Bride movie. I told her on the card that she is officially lame if she doesn't get the reference XDD I'm sure she will though. I also decorated this card with some new stamps and washy tape that my mother picked up for me from Michaels - unfortunately I was silly and forgot to take a picture before I dropped the card in the mail XP Oh well! Next time I use them I will definitely be showing them off. I got SO much cool stuff!

Item #1: "Box of Kisses" Postcard Set from Amazon!

I'll admit that these were something of an impulse purchase, but with my love for anything vintage and anything regency-esque, this postcard set was right up my alley! I know that not everybody on Postcrossing is a huge fan of getting postcards with images of people kissing on them, but I'm sure that I'll be able to find the right admirers for these cards. A bunch of them actually have some pretty funny stuff jotted on them. I might even send the occasional card to my boyfriend if I know it'll make him laugh, or even just make him smile. The images on these cards cover all sorts of periods in history, and if somebody wasn't a big fan of snail mail than they could probably have a ball with making some sort of decor using these cards, maybe framing them or making something really special and creative. The sky's the limit for those who have that creative mindset. My mother is that way - you should see her when she's elbow-deep into her scrapbooking supplies in her office, so tuned into what she's working on that she's not listening to the episode of The Big Bang Theory playing in the background or bothering to turn in her chair to see what the dog is up to. It's nice seeing her in the zone, especially since I know she enjoys the heck out of it. Sad thing is, she works so much (she works from home as a medical transcriber) and she's so stressed out that she doesn't have the time or the appropriate mindset to let the creative juices flow - at least not as often as she would like to. I certainly hope that work will get easier for her soon . . .

That's all for now! I'll keep you guys posted.
