Items In My Mailbox: 2 Items!
Item #1: My Order from Wit & Whistle!
Ever since I first received the Snail Mail stamp, I have always looked forward to the next time I would be able to order something from W&W. Their products are gorgeous, plus a lot of the greeting cards are really hilarious. After ordering my mom the bath gift set I'll be giving her on Mother's Day, I decided to order her a funny card from Etsy as well, to mix things up. W&W has quite the selection of Mother's Day cards, most of them with crude humor that is similar to this. One thing I've learned the hard way when it comes to cards: while the picture of the cartoon grandma with the balloon boobs may make you laugh, that doesn't mean your great-aunt will have the same sense of humor on her 70th birthday. Sp when it comes to picking out cards, rule #1 is to always know your audience, I know my mom is going to spend a good amount of time chuckling at this card. One thing I was impressed with when looking at the W&W selection is that there is a second version of this card made for people born through C-section, which is quite clever. That one reads "Thanks for loving me even though they hacked through your lady parts to pull out my big bulbous baby head" XD
When I placed the order, because of the shipping costs, I decided that I might as well order something for myself as well, so I picked up a 4 pack of these note cards with "Vintage Text Message" decorating the front. I don't have an intended audience for these yet, but I fully intend to make good use out of these.
I'm not sure why this is, but whenever I get something in the mail that comes in an envelope with no return address, it makes me edgy. I'm not exactly sure why that is, but that's just how I feel. Any nerves were set aside when I opened the envelope and found a very colourful bookmark waiting inside for me. One side reads "Vlog Iggles Read. Love(heart) Ash & Jo" and the second side, painted in blue as opposed to the green, reads "Easter 2014" I wasn't expecting to get an Easter gift from any of the vlogiggles, so I very much appreciate this. The timing seems very fortuitous too, since like a lot of the other vlogiggles, I'm working towards filling my YA Reading Bingo card. I should have some more posts to write regarding that very soon :)
That's all for now! I'll be sure to keep you all posted!
