5 Favorite Holiday Songs To Spread Cheer!

Happy Friday - and it's on a Friday and everything! Who woulda thunk it?! :P I'm finally back on track this week, just in time to get settled into December. If there's one tragic thing that December in the retail industry marks, its the beginning of Christmas music playing absolutely everywhere. Soon we will be sick of it, but in the meantime, let's cherish it by counting down some of our favorites. Here are the top 5 Christmas songs on my list:
#5: "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out" by Fall Out Boy! Okay, so this is more of an anti-Christmas song, but I promise the rest aren't going to be like that XD This is a song that always made me laugh when I was a teenager, and it still does now, so I figured it deserves to be on this list. Try singing this to the people you love and see how they react. Go ahead, I dare you :P
#4: "Please Come Home For Christmas" by Charles Brown! I can't listen to this song without goodbye at the airport in Home Alone coming to mind, where Kevin's mom volunteers to stay behind at the airport to try and get a plane out to Chicago. It's a very pleasing song to here whenever it comes on the radio.
#3: "Carol Of The Bells" This is probably the only song that I know how to play on the piano. And when I say I can play that on the piano, I mean that very loosely - really I can only play the first four notes over and over, that's really it XP But that's the majority of the song, so yay!
#2: Any Christmas Song by Michael Bublé! My mother and I both adore Bublé's voice, and his Christmas CD is honestly worth purchasing. The songs are all incredibly beautiful and awesome and other positive-sounding adjectives that currently aren't coming to mind XD Either way, it's great Christmas music that you won't easily get sick of.
#1: "Baby It's Cold Outside" by Zooey Deschanel and Leon Redbone! Everybody who is anybody loves the "Baby It's Cold Outside" scene from Elf, and while it's not Will Farrel singing along with Zooey Deschanel in this version, it's still one of my favorite versions of one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Let me know what some of your favorite Christmas tunes are in the comments below! And if you're participating in this link-up as well, post a link for me to look at :)

  6. Michael Bublé has such a magical Christmas music voice. He's also amazing live, apparently. Josh Groban is the other male artist whose Christmas album is the bomb diggity. But Michael... he's special. Your list is awesome!
