5 Characters I'd Love to Dress Up As For Halloween PART 2!

Hey guys! So this is a prompt that actually came up last year, and I wrote about 5 character I want to one day dress as for Halloween, and you can click here to check out that post. This year I'll be showing you five more characters on my to-dress-up-as list - a list that I think needs a better-sounding name XP
#1: Sherlock Holmes from BBC's Sherlock! It's a good thing I saved my old black winter coat, because it is the perfect match for Sherlock's preferred outerwear! All I'd need to figure out is a preferred hairstyle to crossplay as Sherlock, and I'd need to find the scarf of course. My jacket even lets me pop up the collar to try and look cool ;)
#2: Rebel from Goodbye, Rebel Blue by Shelley Coriell! I've mentioned before how much I love this book - and its main female protagonist. I have also mentioned how I bought a particular shark bag from Mod Cloth because it reminded me of the character (for all interested parties, I named me shark bag Bruno), and I also have clip-in blue hair extensions, much like the single blue streaks that Rebel is most known for. All I would need would be a plain white t-shirt, cargo pants and flip flops to make up her look. Easy-peasy!
#3: New 52 Version of Harley Quinn! If y'all didn't know about my obsession with Harley Quinn yet, then you're definitely just skimming through these posts :P Even though I am now a member of House GLaDOS, since turning 23 in August, my beloved Harley will always have a special place in my heart. And I adore her sense of style in the New 52 comics, and I absolutely want to dress up as her one year, whether it's for Halloween or for a cosplay intended for a convention.
#4: Shauni in Office from Saints Row 4! Truth be told, I did one attempt to get this costume together, but I decided to veto it at the very last minute. Whenever I put together a cosplay costume, I always try to be as close to the original as I can possibly get, and with this costume it would've meant a pair of high heels, which all cosplayers know are not fun to wear in a convention setting. That being said, I could potentially bear the pain long enough to get through a Halloween-themed event! I already have most of the costume (including the very necessary double push-up bra :P), and I would just need to put together a similar choker to what Shaundi has on. I even have the perfect temporary tattoo to match the one on her hand!
#5: A Mermaid! I have no idea why, but lately I've been on a sort of mermaid kick, where I can't stop thinking about mermaids - don't ask me why, I know it's weird too XD My mother suggested I should write a short story about mermaids to get it out of my system, but I think it'd be just as fun to dress up as one for Halloween! I don't think I'd specifically dress up as Ariel, but then again maybe I would, I'm not sure. Either way, I wouldn't go for a costume that is designed entirely for sex appeal; I'd want it to look as cool as possible!

Have all of you decided on your Halloween costumes yet? What are your plans for the 31st? Let me know in the comments below!

  3. I'm not going to be dressing up for Halloween, but my kids are going as Robin from Teen Titans GO and a pink/teal owl. :) They are doing trick-or-treating down main street on the 30th, so we will be doing that.

I'd love to dress up as Sherlock! Also, mermaids rule. :D
